We provide backings for calligraphic art and paintings, as well as for antique maps and documents intended for exhibition.
We understand that there can be little time between finishing a piece of art and its forthcoming exhibition.
Thus we provide rapid service that can return the piece to you within 3 days of receipt.

The image below is of a large (double zenshi sized) work backed by Hakubido.
Although not an antique piece, the art had been heavily marred with creases.
However, the second image shows how Hakubido's backing has completely eliminated these creases.
The artwork is restored to a clean, flawless state.

Hakubido uses a Dry Mount Press which utilises heat to attach the backing sheet.
This process is thus limited to works which are completely dry and not subject to bleeding, even when exposed to moisture.

We cannot be held responsible for bleeding caused by the nature of the ink or paint used in the work.
Note that brush-pens (fude-pen), pen inks, and dyes are especially prone to bleeding.
We work carefully to back each piece entrusted to us, but in the unlikely event that a piece is damaged or soiled at the company's fault,
the compensation amount cannot exceed more than twice the price of the backing.
